The Atlantic City Surf are looking for host families for the 2008 season. If you haven’t had the chance to host a Surf player in the past, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience minor league baseball at its best.
You can be a big part of the Surf's 2008 season by hosting a player. The average age of each player is 25 years old. The team plays a total of 94 games, with 47 games on the road.
The Surf’s regular season begins on May 24th and runs through the first week in September. If the team makes the playoffs, the season can last through September 15.
A large number of the Surf's players come from other cities, and sometimes, have never previously visited the Atlantic City area. They come from many different corners of the world and bring a unique perspective, having usually spent time in professional baseball.
You can be a part of the Surf family for the summer! There is no compensation for host families; however, families receive complementary tickets to Surf home games.
To inquire about becoming a host family, please contact Ryan Conley in the Surf front office at (609) 344-8873, ext. 105.
